Qualifications

1 year of professional dog training experience or demonstration of dog training knowledge

Ability to work with and understand dogs of various sizes, ages and temperaments including those needing behavior modification
-
Strong organization, time management and attention to detail as you will be handling your own book of clients
-
Must reside in New Jersey

Must have reliable transportation

Must have a valid driver's license and authorized to work in the United States

Ability to maintain a professional image and demeanor

Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills. Reliable, honest, committed to ethics and integrity

Ability to work in a team and independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives

A passion for dog training and a desire to continually improve and build upon those skills
-
Weekday availability with some evenings and Saturday's as needed and the ability to establish a recurring weekly schedule with consistent punctuality

Top notch customer service and communication skills with a warm and positive demeanor
-
Effective in a variety of formal presentation settings and can command attention, establish clear directions and create a climate that motivates others

Ability to lift, push or pull and stand for extended periods of time
-
Ability to work in an environment where you may be required to clean kennels and perform other physical tasks

Computer and smartphone literate
Responsibilities
-
Direct customer service experience to establish a trusting bond with the clients
-
Feel comfortable with entering client's homes or training at the facility in Burlington County
-
Consulting with clients to discuss canine behavioral concerns and training needs
-
Identify additional behavioral concerns and communicating them to the client
-
Developing suitable training plans for dogs and the clients and documenting the process
-
Teaching dogs commands using various training techniques that are best suited to each dogs personality and attributes
-
Ensuring that the training area is maintained, clean and organized
-
Teaching clients appropriate training methods to enforce and maintain behavior skills
-
Following up with clients regarding their scheduled sessions or training needs
-
Logging data into a computer program

Adhere to training, safety and cleaning policies
-
Ensure a safe dog training environment for clients and their dogs

Maintain client confidentiality
