Qualifications

  • 1+ years of professional dog training experience or demonstrated knowledge.
  • Ability to work with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, including those needing behavior modification.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills, managing your own client book.
  • Must reside in New Jersey, have reliable transportation, and a valid driver's license.
  • Professional demeanor with strong work ethic, integrity, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Passion for dog training with a desire to grow and improve skills.
  • Weekday availability, with occasional evenings and Saturdays.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills with a positive attitude.
  • Comfort in formal presentations and ability to guide and motivate others.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable with cleaning kennels and other physical tasks.
  • Computer and smartphone literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong client relationships through direct customer service.
  • Comfortable training at the facility or in client homes in Burlington County.
  • Consult with clients on canine behavior and training needs.
  • Develop customized training plans and document progress.
  • Teach dogs commands using the best techniques for their personalities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized training area.
  • Educate clients on proper training methods for consistent behavior.
  • Follow up with clients regarding training progress and needs.
  • Log data into a computer program.
  • Adhere to safety, cleaning, and training policies.
  • Ensure a safe training environment for clients and their dogs.
  • Maintain client confidentiality.
